Seven Strange Stories, the most recently published, is a collection of tales that is gripping in its exploration of the margins of quotidian life concatenated with the bizarre and the fantastic. These stories incorporate elements of the supernatural or paranormal in some cases, and esoteric systems of belief in others. The collection weaves tapestries of emotional color and fortified plots that never fail to intrigue the reader. Moreover, this collection of stories is surreal yet accessible and carries a strong sense of the stranger elements to our collective existence that is immediately available on reading.

The first story, In-flight Entertainment: Rainbow Glass Prison, glides into the realm of the magical where the normal boundaries of conventional reality are bent over the course of an airplane flight with the protagonist surviving a harrowing experience that modulates itself into a sense of fulfillment and contentment.

The second story, Hacker Guardian Angel, explores the intricacies of the mental health system and evokes a strong sense of sympathy with those poor souls who find themselves imbricated with the assertion of power and dominance that permeates the cultural construction of ‘normality’ as an artifact of power.

The third story, Corporate Mystery: Jared and the Janitor, is a stern reminder of about the Corporate World. The protagonist finds himself on the receiving end of corporate shenanigans that result in a stressful subjective experience, but ultimately prevails...

The fourth story, The Pirate Queen and her Submariners of the Seven Seas, might seem at first glance to be a tale of conflict, but offers a fresh take on pirate tropes, and features an ecologically friendly protagonist who is drawn into the lure of a ship like no other.

The fifth story, Mister Warren at the Rockefeller Centre, returns us to the realm of the fantastical with a tale that explores the underbelly of quotidian life. We are introduced to Mister Warren, who is, amongst other things, a numerologist who spins a story about the framework of understanding that undergirds the zeitgeist of New York City. He inspires the protagonist to undertake an adventure of his own...

The sixth story, Mortal Gods Play: Satanic Wars, delves into the realms of science fiction and features a protagonist who is so disenchanted with her life - of what it will be in the future - that she undertakes a highly risky endeavor to ensure that certain events never come to pass through the utilization of an incipient ‘time travel’ methodology.

The last story, Irreverent Nomads and the God of Time, introduces us to a motley crew of talented people who operate on the margins of society, but wield resolute power and influence whilst remaining relevant to the tectonic shifts in the very society that they must now protect, even though they had spent eons shunning a large part of its conventions.

The interesting fictional stories crafted by VCXY comes from a diverse life experience. To begin with, VCXY is of Mixed heritage who spent a good amount of time in different cities, and she has met a lot of different people from different walks of Life. She values independent thinking, and appreciates both Eastern and Western Philosophical Thought, and has been trained in Political Theory. She is also a Spa Lover and a Custom Software Project Manager.

When asked what she thinks what artists really achieve, she explains:

“Artists have always been the purest ‘politicians’ for social/individual justice and representation. We cannot pretend that we can replace, subsume or make irrelevant what Art and Creativity can achieve for the individual and society. Art is inherently therapeutic- and far more - Art is courage. Art reflects systems of meanings in the worlds we explore, along with their hybridized and contradictory aspects indescribable by words. It provides a platform for the marginalized and disenfranchised, when borders, buildings, and bodies are to remain un-breached.

At its highest potential, it can bring oneself to a point of restitution and re-situation in the most fulfilling sense."
